This large airdome appears on the 1913 map, labeled ‘Summer Picture Theatre’. Due to its location in a large previously vacant lot, the stage was actually at the College Avenue end.
This theatre appears on the 1919 map with a somewhat modified layout, but seems to be defunct. The 1930 map shows a small gas station here, which has since been demolished. The lot is home to a rather unattractive 1950’s or 1960’s building and small parking lot.

First opened as the Airdome Theatre in 1908, and was converted into an indoor movie theater in 1913 and was renamed the Lyric Theatre. It was demolished in 1945.
That demolition date cannot be right, since there was a gas station here in 1930. It does appear that this structure has a roof, so the indoor conversion part is correct.
Then there must be a similar theater like this elsewhere in Fayetteville. I’ll add the Lyric into its own page soon.
