Dreamland Theatre

The June 15, 1907 issue of The Billboard said of D. O. Alexander’s new Dreamland Theatre in Parsons that “[t]he room has been fixed up in nice style and complete in every detail, the lobby will be quite large and will contain a small penny arcade.” The house opened on June 4th, 1907 with moving pictures and illustrated songs. It was still open in 1911, but had closed by 1914.

This theater was still open in late 1911. I’ve added a map view. This part of town survived until at least the early 1970s, but has been turned into a giant parking lot. Parsons is amazingly ugly, and has completely trashed their downtown.
