The Auditorium Theater, advertised at 11th Street and Main Street in the Riverside Enterprise, began playing licensed films in January 1912.
In February 1912 Manager Adler had his say on the Riverside board of censors closing theaters on Sundays. “Another important point to bear in mind is the money consideration. If crowds of our people are prohibited from seeing performances which are regulated by a board of censors, they will spend their money in other cities where there is no control whatever"
The theater was listed in American Motion Picture Directory 1914-1915 at 1075 Main Street and on Sanborn Maps 1908 as Moving Picture Theatre at 1075 Main Street. Today’s location would be near the John C. Gabbert Judicial Plaza.
