As early as 1918 the Emeryville Theatre at 4069 San Pablo Avenue advertised for a cashier in the Oakland Tribune.

As reported in the Oakland Tribune, the remodeled and attractively redecorated Emeryville Theatre reopened November 10, 1923, with the film “Don’t Ever Marry” starring Matt Moore. In 1924 The Emeryville Theatre was listed in the Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda city directory.

It may have been previously named the Heidelberg Theatre, which was listed American Motion Picture Directory 1914-1915 and the San Franciso Call in 1914 with no address given.

By 1936 the 4069 address became the Corona Card Club and the location today would most likely be the parking lot of the Oaks Card Club.
