Otto C. Hauber launched the A-Muse-U Theatre on October 30, 1912 with five films in “The Flat Upstairs”, “Pedro’s Dilemma”, “Osler Joe”, “Jack of Diamonds” and “The Beating He Needed” Hauber felt he had created a model moving picture house. Hauber would be competing with J.B. Simon who had opened the Best Theatre and acquired the existing Orpheo Theatre as part of Pine Bluff’s Theatre District in film’s silent era.

Hauber would add the new unnamed Theatre at 120 W. 2nd Avenue on February 26, 1916 in the Theatre District of Pine Bluff. Advance tickets for the new unnamed Theatre later named Hauber Theatre were sold at the A-Muse-U movie theatre. To show love to Hauber during his name the theater contest, at least one person recommended A-Muse-U 2 Theatre.

In 1917, the venue was closed at the end of a 5-year leasing period with its final shows on June 30, 1917 as Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Drew in “Safety First” and Phil Dunham and Merta Sterling as Mr. and Mrs. Henpeck in “Chicken Chased and Henpecked”. Isaac Dreyfus Company renovated the property for a wholesale operation.
