Eros Adult Theatres operated approximately 1970-77 in downtown Portland, on Taylor Street between 3rd Street & 4th Street. This was one of two movie theaters in Portland that offered exclusively gay movies (the other being the Tom Kat Theatre, 425 NW Glisan Street which has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The Eros Adult Theatres was located across the street from the Eros Adult Bookstore, which was located on the ground floor of the historic Gilbert Building at SW 3rd Street and SW Taylor Street.
By 2009 the building was in use as the Looking Glass Bookstore. They had moved out by 2011 and the building was ‘For Lease’. By November 2015 it was occupied by Artistic Portland, an art studio.
