The Strand Theatre opened its doors on September 23, 1920 with Fatty Arbuckle in “The Roundup” (unknown if extras added), and was renamed the Star Theatre in 1927.

The Star Theatre closed on March 17, 1932 when the Perry Theatre (later the Roxy Theatre) opened nearby the following day.
