In October 1951, Boxoffice magazine noted that the Sho-Lo Theatre had opened. It held 420 seats and was owned by Nace Theatres and Ira Rawlings, who managed it.
The Nace Theatres entry in the 1952-53 Motion Picture Almanac included the Sho-Lo Theatre.
A retrospective published by the White Mountain Independent said the Sho-Lo Theatre “burned to the ground on December 2, 1989” because of a fire in the old wiring. It said that Bill and Willa Rawlings had scouted the location in 1949.
The Independent article said the Sho-Lo Theatre was on Deuce of Clubs Avenue (US Highway 60). CinemaTour.com says the exact address was 1180 E. Deuce of Clubs Avenue.
