Firebaugh Drive-In

The Firebaugh Motor-In was opened by 1951 when it was operated by Mr. & Mrs. C.S. Chestnut. The March 22, 1952 issue of Boxoffice mentioned Mr. and Mrs. Scott Chestnut, owners of the Columbia Theatre and the Firebaugh Drive-In.

The 1955-56 Theatre Catalog included the Firebaugh, owned by C. S. Chestnutt and John C. Bowles, capacity 300 cars.

A 1955 aerial photo showed a drive-in along Highway 33 about 2.5 miles southeast of Firebaugh. Its screen was gone by 1981. A farm equipment supplier occupies the site today.
