Located in the Alhambra Quarter district of the city centre. The Theatre de l'Alhambra was opened in 1874. In 1905 it became a variety theatre, operated by English music hall proprietor Thomas Barrasford. Seating was provided in orchestra, balcony and 2nd balcony, with three boxes on each side of the proscenium. It is almost certain that Barrasford equipped the Alhambra to screen films as part of the variety programme, something he did in all his theatres in the United Kingdom. It was closed on 30th May 1957.
It was demolished in 1973 and an office building with underground parking is now on the site.
