The Liberty Theater, billed as the old Kinema, opened April 21, 1915. As advertised in the Daily Appeal the Biograph movie was Florence La Badie in “Aurora Floyd”, ‘Drama of Elemental Human Impulse in every scene’. Matinee daily. All seats 10c.

According to Sanborn Maps there were moving pictures at this location as early as 1909. The theater was located a half of a block from the Western Hotel, separated by High Street. The Liberty Theater was last listed in Film Daily Year Book 1940 with 450 seats.

The location today would be behind the Habitat For Humanity store, which was built on the site of the Western Hotel, which was destroyed by fire on August 26, 1956, once a Marysville landmark in itself.
