Palace Theatre

The Tri-Cities of Pelly, Goose Creek and Baytown each had multiple silent-era theaters. Charles Trifon built the DeLuxe Theatre in Goose Creek in 1928 to go with his Nu-Gulf Theatre in Pelly.

Under new ownership, it was renamed as the Palace Theatre continuing under H.E. Brunson’s operation. He would build the new Brunson Theatre as the DeLuxe Theatre reached its 20-year leasing expiry. When that venue launched, the Palace Theatre closed and was replaced by a furniture store. The former theatre turned retail store has since been demolished.
