Patterson Theatre (I)

The first Patterson Theatre is mentioned in the Modesto Morning Herald as early as 1912 and the American Motion Picture Directory 1914-1915.

On September 17, 1937, the Modesto Bee reported a drug store would be moving into the building vacated by the Patterson Theatre, owned by E.L. Fink. This report coincides with the news in the Modesto Bee that the new Patterson Theatre opened July 29, 1937 (It has its own page on Cinema Treasures).

Sanborn Maps 1941 show a Bowling Alley in the former theatre building.
