Located in the Cowcaddens district to the north of the city centre. The Cambridge Cinema was a conversion of a United Presbyterian Church to the plans of architect J. Jeffrey Waddell. It retained the original Classical facade which was topped by a pediment. The Cambridge Cinema was opened on 8th November 1922. Initially it was operated by the Grove Picture House Ltd.

In 1927 it was rebuilt internally to the plans of architect Charles J. McNair and the seating capacity was increased to 1,020. It was taken over by the A.B. King circuit. It was renovated in 1954 which reduced the seating capacity to 954-seats. It was closed by the A.B. King circuit in 1964 and demolished that same year.
