Airdome

This simple airdome appears on the 1911 Sanborn, in a location which was an empty lot in 1905. It was a basic wooden structure with a ticket booth and picture machine in a narrow little building. It may originally have had a stage, but it appears that it was already being used as storage, and doubtless a screen.

The airdome appears on the 1918 map, but it may not have been active. Oddly, it makes an appearance in the 1941 Yearbook, with no capacity. The later maps are not available online, but this was demolished many years ago. The location is a parking lot.
