Peet's Opera House

This theater was constructed sometime before 1905, when it appears in that year’s Cahn guide. It was a two story wooden building of fairly simple design.

The opera house is listed in the 1914-15 AMPD, but the May 1915 Sanborn shows it vacant, with a note ‘To Be Torn Down’.

The historical address was 112 N. Washington Avenue, placing this at the corner of N. Washington Avenue and W. 2nd Street N. The entire layout of this area has changed, and some of the streets have disappeared, along with the Katy and Missouri Pacific railroads. All of the numbered streets have been changed. I think this would have been located roughly at 602 S. Washington Street
