Owner Frank P. Brizzi opened the short-lived Colonial Theatre’s doors on October 31, 1936 with Lew Ayers in “Shakedown” and Phil Regan in “Laughing Irish Eyes” along with an unnamed cartoon and a newsreel, featuring a capacity of 400 seats and RCA sound.

Unfortunately, the Colonial Theatre only operated for more than two years, closing in early-1939 after its last owner, Louis Landau, filed for bankruptcy that January.
