Clifford Lance took the existing Roy Thompson building and turned it into a brand new movie theater for the diminutive town of Lefors, Texas. It opened in November of 1938. Lance moved to Wichita to open a new theatre a year later.

The final operator was Bess Cole taking on the Rogue Theatre in the television era of the early-1950’s. Unfortunately, she fainted when she was called back to witness the aftermath of an after hours explosion in the projection booth that demolished the theatre on March 16, 1955. The town had fewer than 900 residents and - with only partial insurance covering the venue - no other rogue operators were willing to take a chance on movie exhibition in Lefors.
