Airdome Theatre

This theatre apparently opened around 1910. It was a relocation, under new owners, of a very short-lived airdome that operated for about a year several blocks to the west.

Originally known as McKee’s Airdome, it was renamed at some point, and closed in 1916. The structure was typical, with a fence surrounding the lot, and a wooden stage and screen at the rear. The only unusual feature was the location in a residential area (although there was another small business area around the now vanished railroad station just a few blocks east).

The theatre was demolished soon after closing, and the location today is a charming little house used as an office.
