The Castle Theatre opened as early as 1934. It was still operating in 1956 without advertising, but the Castle Theatre suffered destruction by a fire on November 10, 1957 that also damaged several other neighboring businesses across the small downtown area including the O'Donnell Drug Store located right next to the theater.
