The 400-seat Legion Theatre opened its doors on April 12, 1939 with Jeanette MacDonald in “Broadway Serenade” (unknown if extras added). It was built on the site of the Dougal restaurant, and was a replacement of the Hub Theatre, which closed three days beforehand.
It was still open in 1957, but its closing date remains unknown at this time.
