Cinema MOM Park

Situated on the Buda side of the city, “MOM” is an abbreviation of Magyar Optikai Művek (“Hungarian Optical Works”) which was founded in 1876 and became one of the largest optical and precision-mechanics companies in Central Europe. It closed down in 1995.

The MOM Park Shopping Centre was constructed on the site in 2001. The five-screen cinema is on the second level. Initially it was operated by Cinema City, then by Turkish owners as Cinema Pink before re-opening in October 2021, following a major refurbishment, as Cinema MOM.

The very understated entrance leads up to a 10-lane bowling alley and an extremely luxurious cinema, with the auditoriums furnished with “giant” armchairs with 120cm of legroom, tables with individual lamps and also footstools, all with a ‘vintage’ feel.

Seating capacities are: 1:140, 2:123, 3:73, 4:84 and 5:118.

The 4K projection system is complemented by a Dolby Atmos 360 sound system.
