Filmhuis Breda

In the city of Breda, in the province of North Brabant in the southern part of the Netherlands, Filmhuis Breda began life in 2016 as a ‘pop-up’ cinema.

Then, in 2023, the re-development of the historic Chassé Barracks into Breda Botanique was completed. Filmhuis Breda moved into a purpose-built screening space which comprises two auditoriums and a film café. (Alongside the showpiece botanical greenhouse, the other amenities include apartments, restaurants, the City Archives and a boutique hotel.)

Filmhuis Breda opened in May 2023. The two screens have 50 and 30 seats.

In August and September, usually on Thursdays and Saturdays, Filmhuis Breda presents outdoor screenings in the Botanique complex. These shows can seat 70 patrons.
