The Grant County Walk-In Theatre was located as an adjacent to the Blue Mountain Drive-In. The 272-seat single-screener opened its doors on December 4, 1981 with Tim Conway in “The Prizefighter” and Tim Conway in “The Private Eyes”. It was renamed the Wilderness Theatre on April 1, 1983.
The Wilderness Theatre closed for the final time on September 1, 1996 with John Travolta in “Phenomenon”, because of several reasons, including loss of attendance and money struggles.
