Roesler Opera House

This theater was constructed in 1909. It is a large but plain two story brick structure. The opera house was likely upstairs, but no maps and very few photos exist of this town.

By no later than 1914-15, movies were being shown, as this is listed in the AMPD with the name mangled to ‘Roesho’. It appears to have ceased operation before 1926.

One of very few authentic historic buildings in a very odd downtown that has been eaten by a giant furniture store (and mainly consists of giant metal sheds with hokey Frontierland facades stuck on the sides), this building is in decent condition, used by a bank.
