TOHO Cinemas Lalaport Fujimi

United Cinemas originally scheduled to open their own multiplex at the Lalaport Fujimi in 2009, but was later postponed and then canceled for unknown reasons. TOHO Cinemas stepped up to the plate several years later and officially opened its doors after all the fuzz.

The TOHO Cinemas Lalaport Fujimi opened its doors on April 10, 2015 featuring 9 screens and 1,591 seats (including 18 wheelchairs, two in each auditorium). This is also the first ever TOHO Cinemas theater in Saitama, and the first ever movie theater in Japan to have installations of MediaMation MX4D, which was installed inside the 108-seat Screen 7. Developed by the American-based MediaMation, this system uses seat movement, smells, and water to enhance the film’s effects. It employs a variety of techniques, including seats that tilt in various directions to match the film’s content, air blasts, and tactile effects.

Screen 1 is the largest with 371 seats featuring TCX and Dolby Atmos installations and Screen 6 is the smallest 89 seats. All of its auditoriums featured installations of Christie Vive Audio speakers, with ranging seating capacities of 108-199.
