Pratt Opera House

This early theater was located in a very basic one story wooden opera house, which had been constructed before 1892, and was oddly located in a neighborhood of scattered homes and businesses such as lumber yards.

Movies were being shown by at least 1914-15, when it is listed in the AMPD. This theater was demolished by 1916, when the Independent Lumber Co. to the north expanded their operation. This was continually expanded through at least 1950, and today serves as the Pratt County museum.
