Located in Gilbertsville, KY. The Kentucky Dam Theatre was opened prior to 1941 when it was operated by the Chickasaw Amusement Co. Inc, chain, a subsidiary of Ruffin Amusment Co. Inc. chain. It was still open in 1943.
The small town was moved due to construction of the Kentucky Dam in 1938-1944, and it seems likely that the Kentucky Dam Theatre served the construction workers and was possibly later drowned.
