Riverview Drive-In

Darrel Snyder and Charles F. Frensdorn opened the Riverview Drive-In on April 6, 1953. That’s according to a note two weeks later in Boxoffice, which said the drive-in was two miles west of town on the Lewis and Clark Highway.

The 1955-56 Theatre Catalog included the Riverview Drive-On, capacity 250 cars, owners D. Snyder and C. Frensdorf. A 1955 aerial photo showed a drive-in west of Orofino on US 12. Its screen was gone by 1966.

A couple of businesses, including a Family Dollar, occupy the site today.
