Located in the west of the city centre in the historic Arts Centre. The West Lecture Hall was built in 1917 as part of Canterbury College and was its largest lecture theatre. It was used by the history department and for public lectures. The Lumiere Cinemas was opened on 27th June 2019 by Nick Paris & Max Hoffman. The two screens are named Bernhardt (upstairs with 73-seats) & Bardot (downstairs with 42-seats). Programming includes restorations of classic films, international cinema, local releases and film festivals.

The Bijou Bar serves craft beers and bespoke wine as well as selected eateries.
