This theater appears on the 1912 Sanborn. It was located in a two story brick building constructed sometime between 1891 and 1896, and which had most recently been a tailors. The building had a large bay with a slate roofed tower above it.
This theater was very likely the Gem Theatre listed in the 1914-15 AMPD. It had closed by 1924, when the map shows a store here. The building still shows most of its historic fabric on the 2009 street view, but by 2015 the facade had been destroyed, and replaced with cheap and grim cinderblock, also ruining the building to the east. The rear still shows the screen tower, and the building is used by a medical equipment company.
