The Orangeville Drive-In opened its gates on May 16, 1953 by Sam Mercan, housing 400 cars with a 51x48ft screen tower and a yellow-and-blue concession stand in 12 acres located east of the fairgrounds.

After 13 seasons in total, the Orangeville Drive-In closed its gates by Wilro Enterprises on October 13, 1974 and never reopened after it was sold to Orangeville Racing in March 1975, which caused the theater to be demolished. The raceway was also long gone.
