The Neue Alhambra was located in the north city centre district of Wedding. (not be confused with the Alhambra Kino or its replacement Cineplex Alhambra, both also located in Wedding, which each have their own pages on Cinema Treasures).

The Neue Alhambra was opened in 1936 and was designed by architect Wilhelm Hauffe with 900-seats. It had a large stage, upon which variety shows were presented alongside the film presentations. I believe it suffered damage from Allied bombs during World War II.

In 1954 a Neue Alhambra with 820-seats had opened. It had been designed by architect Brundo Meltendorf in a Streamline Moderne style. It was closed in 1969 and has been demolished. A multi-story carpark with retail at street level now stands on the site.
