Joe, both you and John are incorrect; he doubly so because the Masonic Lodge is a new build, designated “20 Main Street”, while the theatre, before the ceiling fell in and it closed, was at 19.
The Google image to which you refer is of the Masonic Lodge. The actual theatre, the low building visible in the center of the photo I have uploaded from the Senoia Area Historical Society and Museum, is plainly marked “Senoia Theatre”.
So the theater has been demolished? And I see that your uploaded photo does look like the building in the AI image John uploaded, though the AI totally screwed up the name. The description will have to be changed to note the theater’s fate, and then I’ll just delete my comments so we can start over with a clean page. Thanks for the corrections.
Never actually saw the image John uploaded. It was gone before I started looking into the situation.
It was an AI “enhanced” and colorized version of the photo you uploaded, but the name of the theater had been hopelessly garbled. I believe the cars had been removed too, but don’t recall for sure. Like much AI, it didn’t look quite real.
