Forest Theatre

As an African American house for Interstate, ads carried wording to make it clear to moviegoers about the repositioning of the Forest. The Ten Commandments was one of the few major hits for the Forest. Its hours were reduced, then the size of the ads were reduced, followed by weekend-only operation, then the ads disappeared even as the theater operated for nine years as an African American house. It finally ceased operating in 1965 for Interstate.
