Exhibitors Trade Review of August 11, 1923 said that W. W. Berinstein’s Hudson Theatre at Albany had been almost totally destroyed by a recent fire. Berinstein also operated the Colonial Theatre in Albany, as well as houses in Troy, Elmira, and Schenectady.

Those Library of Congress photos show the ornate pressed tin ceiling still intact. Unfortunately the google photo of that address shows that the theatre portion of the complex has been demolished. Status should be changed accordingly.

If you go to the building today you can still see the former entrance- a tin facade has an HT monogram, and the cement sidewalk still says HUDSON THEATER in red and white.
