The Cinema 4 opened in June of 1984. it was opened by Martin Theatres with the cost of construction running more than half a million dollars. When the Cinema 4 opened it seated 250 per auditorium. The theatre was renovated in 1985 and four additional auditoriums were added and Regal took over the theatre at that time.

It was the death of the BEAUTIFUL art deco Marshall theater. The “new cinema” was built on the old Space Age Drive-In lot. For many, many years the old projection booth was still standing.
Did Regal really get this as early as 1985? I thought Regal wasn’t even a thing until 1987.
Martin Theatres hit the double kill and got two theatres with one stone.
