Correction for name of the first movie: it was “Three Sons O'Guns”.
The owners of the West have added two more small screens upstairs that seat 40 people each, bringing the seating capacity now to 336 with two screens below seating 128 each in the two downstairs theatres. They listed the original seating as around 400 but not sure if that included the balcony, which was unused for a time. the original stage and dressing rooms are behind the old screen which is covered up at this time, but they are still intact. Thanks to John Dunn at the West Theatre for this information.
1972 and an old Elvis Double feature,“SPINOUT” and “SPEEDWAY” are playing.
This web page lists the West Theatre as one of several small town movie houses designed by the Atlanta architectural firm of Tucker & Howell.
Here’s a 2007 view of the WEST:

Hello, Charles. Mr Browwning told me that he took over the operation of the theatre in 1979 and twined it in 1986. Other members of his family also work at the theatre. They are all very friendly and enjoy talking to visitors.
The address listed above is not correct. The West Theatre is located at 112 West Avenue, Cedartown, GA 30125. The exterior and the lobby of the West Theatre are as they looked in the 1940’s. The theatre has been twined and now shows two movies at a time. The owner, Ken Browning, has told me that the original single screen is still in place behind the newer twin screens. The balcony has been closed off.
