Stockholm Film Festival took over the operation from Filmstaden in 2024 and shows films Wednesdays to Sundays. A crowdfunding campaign raised money for a pair of Philips DP 70 projectors, now the theater can show “analog” films in 35 and 70mm. “The Odyssey” will be shown in 70mm in July 2026. Also conferences, live music, stand up and sometimes a nightclub. Sweden’s most beautiful cinema, if you visit Stockholm - don’t miss it! https://bioskandia.se/
The Wurlitzer organ was found, in poor condition, in the attic of Stockholm Town Hall in 2005. A renovation project started and now, in 2017, the organ is playable. The organ is now located in a former reactor hall att the Stockholm University of Technology (KTH). See: http://www.skandiaorgeln.com/

The Skandia opened on 20th September 1923. A Wurlitzer 2 Manual/7 Rank theatre organ was installed in 1926, opened by Willard Ringstrand. The organ was later moved to Stockholm Town Hall.
