The Piedmont Drive-In opened in 1952 and operated until around 2010. This drive-in has a capacity for 200 cars.

It did park 200 cars and during the 50’s it was owned by Lester Howell.

Above address is incorrect. This was further west @ 1340 US Highway 278 W.

The drive-in is gone. The screen is demolished.

Closed in the fall of 2007; screen demolished in 2012. The marquee, ticket booth and concession stand (with owner’s quarters above it) remain.

The above address will map accurately to the location of the drive-in. Google Earth seems to prefer Alabama 74 over US 278, even though they are both the same roadway.
