I think the Arclight is the beginning of the end for movie theaters.Movie theaters keep raising their prices to make more money and keep out the “riff-raff” but what it actually does is decrease overall attendance, especially during weekdays. You might shell out the extra money on date night, but not now nobody goes to the movies during the week as a cheap alternative to watching network tv. I don’t like assigned seating, movie theaters should be first come, first served. Plus, they don’t enforce their “no late entry” policy alluded to in this video. Plus they do what all big chains do with “customer service”. “customer Service” these days means forcing their employees to act “fake friendly” in an effort to squeeze every last dollar out of you with upselling. It’s almost impossible to have a genuine conversation with a movie theater employee nowadays.
