  • <p>THIS WAS THE CHAPEL STREET ENTRANCE / EXIT (LATER ONLY AN EXIT) THE MAIN ENTRANCE WAS ON COLLEGE STREET. SEEN IN THIS PHOTO IS THE EXTENDED PROJECTION BOOTH THAT WAS ADDED LATER. WATER DAMAGE CAUSED THIS BOOTH TO BREAK OFF AND FALL INTO THE ALLEY BELOW. IT WAS BECAUSE OF THIS INCIDENT THAT THE ENTIRE AUDITORIUM WAS DEMOLISHED. THE ORIGINAL THEATER LOBBY ON CHAPEL STREET IS A RETAIL STORE.</p>

  • <p>While the ceiling work is obviously well detailed, there would never be any creaking floor sounds as the Paradise was concrete flooring throughout and reinforced concrete elsewhere making the demolition project exceedingly laborious. She was built to last as shown here in 1928.</p>
