Thank you for your comment!!! The point is not to glorify K. Gordon Murray or his films, but to preserve a time period in history that is in danger of being lost to the ages. Some individuals may agree that these films should be forgotten. That is a matter of opinion. The documentary is not only about these films and the people that brought them to us, it is about the pop culture of the 1950’s through the 1970’s and a phenomenon, good or bad, that struck the hearts of children everywhere. It is about drive-in’s and carnies peddling “sex-hygiene” books. It is about “spooks shows” and tacky gimmicks. It is about the age of showman and their inevitable decline. And remember, dear readers, this is a humorous story… which is what nostalgia is all about! Just ask the immortal Jean Shepherd.

The documentary will include Murray’s original productions, as well as his imported fare. Films such as “Eve or the Apple”, “Shanty Tramp”, “Savages from Hell”, “The Daredevil” with Terry Moore and George Montgomery, and “Thunder County” starring Mickey Rooney. I have interviewed most of the individuals associated with these films, including several actors. Considering how obscure Murray’s life and films are… it has taken a lot of detective work to pull this story together. But it’s going to be a blast… in the end.
