First neon sign for Wagga’s Plaza Theatre

Baylis St looking south, c1947 and the first neon sign for Wagga’s Plaza Theatre being lifted by Les Bunt. The Plaza Theatre opened in 1933. It was built on the ashes of the The Strand Theatre that opened in 1915 but sadly burnt down in Nov,1932. (Sharing a photo from Clark Bunt (Les' grandson) and a Daily Advertiser clipping) through the courtesy of Lost Wagga Wagga.
