Sturt Drive-In 3871 Sturt Highway, Wagga Wagga, NSW
Constructing the screen for Wagga’s new Sturt Drive In Theatre. The screen measured 25.9 x 30.48 metres. The principal builder on the 15 acre site was Harold Buckman & Son.
The theatre officially opened Wednesday, 11th February,1959 with the screening of How To Marry A Millionaire. There was also an “invitation only” preview night on the 10th showing Mardi Gras. (Sharing a Museum of the Riverina photo) - Courtesy - Lost Wagga Wagga.
