This frontage was closed off, with a new foyer built to the left linking the remodelled cinema building (now with flat floor but retaining the gallery) with the annex that can be partially seen to the left, which retained a proscenium and curtain for live theatre performances
Coming into this one late, but the photo definitely shows the Kembla St main frontage of the cinema, with the recently opened Council Chambers (now art gallery) to the right.
This mural is on the eastern blank wall of the current auditorium, and represents the original Kembla St west facing main entrance.
