Since Henry Robb bought the Modernaire in December 1951, and the drive-in soon became the Admiral, I assumed that the name change happened during that offseason. I was wrong, as you can see in this clip from the June 18, 1952 Tulsa World. The next day, it was advertising as Admiral “(formerly Modernaire Drive-In Theatre)”. Not my copyright, of course, and probably in the public domain.
