I have long maintained that there is a tie for my all-time favorite motion picture: Star Wars (the original, which could easily have stood alone without the other films in that series) and The Man From Snowy River. My reasons for sharing the top spot between these two are too lengthy to go into here; perhaps one day I'll devote one of my newspaper columns to this subject. We'll see...
