A nice 1920’s street view of Chriss Cafe and to the right the future home of the Grand Theatre. The 5 story structure pictured is the RT Dennis building. During the May 11th 1953 tornado, this is the building that collapsed in onto the roof of theatre and Cafe. Thirty people were killed in RT Dennis but amazingly all theatre patrons escaped with their lives.
