JD,
I haven’t checked the site in quite some time and realized I have missed alot of questions. I’ll do better at keep up. To answer your last question, things are going great. These past two weekends have been our best to date. After much frustration over dealing with the QUVIS server and its people, we ditched it and installed a new GDC server which has the BACRO DLP running perfect. THe sound and picture is better than ever before. We are now running all digital in our main house for the rest of the year. We currently have Harry Potter showing on the DLP and have Narnia set to show early next week. Unfortunately the QUVIS server was the equivalent of scrap metal and turned out to be nothing more than a very expensive paper weight. It was like having a BETA when the entire industry went for VHS. They claimed it was a quality product, but the reality was to date it hasn’t been able to run a single digital print other that Star Wars. Nevertheless, we got rid of the garage and couldn’t be happier with our new server. I hope that explains the like of Digital these past two months, but from here on out if its released in digital, we will have it. I think you will see a large shift in that next year as is evident by the digital release of the last big films. Andy is doing a great job with the theater so I hope you’ll come back soon. Thanks for being so loyal and have a great holiday. – Wally

High Def??? Do you mean digital? If so, the answer is no, the next all digital film will probably be Chicken Little….check digitalcinematoday.com for a list of upcoming digital release….Just about everything is in digital sound, but the digital print gives the “high def” effect you are looking for. Thanks – W

Charlie and Chocolate Factory is on the big screen right now…unfortunately, the studios are simply not releasing the films in digital that were originally slated to be in a digital format…hopefully the trend will change next year…Thanks for your patience on the stadium seating… screens 4,5,6 and 7 are now complete…the stadium seating on 2 and 3 should begin in the next few weeks… thanks – wally

1 Hour and half,I made the drive two weeks ago. Take 25 all the way into into down town and turn right at the bridge construction just past the BiLo center. The theater is approximately 1 mile up Laurens Road at the intersection of Antrim and Laurens Road. Drive carefully. – Wally

Folks,
The last showing of Star Wars on the main DLP in the THX room is tonight. We’ll still have it in digital in a smaller auditorium, but without THX. War of the Worlds opens tomorrow in the big room. Just a quick heads up as I know some of you wanted to know when it would be moved. Thanks for the support – Wally

Unfortunately Batman was not released in digital, nor is War of the Worlds, which is the next big movie to come to the theater. We will show WOW in the big room, but we will only have the option of film….I think the next movie for the DLP will be Fantastic Four, but I will need to check on that. We are weeks away from completing construction so hopefully we can have the grand opening in July with a new digital film…I’ll let you know. – Wally

It will be the big screen for at least another week or two but may eventually get moved to #2 depending on customer response and demand to see Madagascar in digital format. thanks – W

Shane,
I’ll be glad to make good on my offer of a tour. As for the THX trailer, we just got it in…its brand new and no one has seen it yet. Should be up and running as part of this evening’s shows. Thanks – Wally

Folks,
I can’t begin to thank you enough for attending the show and for all the positive feedback. We literally made it by a matter of hours, but because of all the enthusiasm, local support and a small miracle by our sound engineer, our premier exceeded our wildest expectations. It is great to hear that the staff is being courteous and helpful, they are very young and inexperienced, but they are good kids who are excited about the theater and have done great so far. If ever anyone has any type of criticism or problem with their Camelot experience, I want to hear about it and promise it will be fixed before you return.

It’s official, the response for the DLP has been so overwhelming that we have placed an order for a second DLP for theater #2. It is a smaller version of the BARCO in #1, but it will provide the same premium digital picture and sound. We hope to have it installed for the premier of Madagascar on Memorial Day. Although we could not have the stadium seating finished in #2 and #3 by the opening of the Longest Yard and Madagascar, it is still our goal to have stadium seating and the other theaters up and running by our offical grand opening in July. Thanks again for all the support. – Wally

Still hammering out times, but we should have all of that ready and printed in Tuesday’s paper, but available at box office and on website (hopefully) by Monday. We never invisioned opening this soon at we had planned for the first of July, but when Lucasfilm told us we had a chance at Star Wars, we had to try. It will be down to the wire, but we will make it. Thanks for all the positive encouragement, we should have a product we are really proud of by Thursday. – Wally

There will most certainly be a movie showing, although I don’t yet know the title. The Camelot is located next to old McCalister Square Mall in Greenville at the intersection of Laurens Road and Antrim Drive. Look forward to seeing you in October.
